The hotel was in the central setting on a main route into town with excellent access to local transport. My room was quiet and huge with an ironing board and iron, had smoke detectors for safety measures.
There was signal missing, I was a little disappointed.

The location near a bus station was marvellous and brilliant, most places in Manchester where within reach. Apart from that, Etihad Stadium was 20 minutes' drive away. I appreciated the exceptionally comfortable bed and the queen room. It had things I needed, including an electric kettle, central heating and an iron.

The Breakfast

The hotel was located on a main road which was not reflected in the online description - the noise was relentless and no sleep was got! The room and bathroom was dirty and the toilet did not look like it had been cleaned from the previous occupants. It was very late evening when we checked in and so I didn't complain at the time as we just wanted to get to bed. Compared to other hotels of this kind, at the same sort of price, this fell far short of expectations and the reviews online. Obviously these reviews are subjective to previous experience of hotels and personal expectations.

The breakfast was good and available until 10.30am.
Some road noise.could do with selective refurbishment.I.e renew grouting in bathroom and floor covering.

All around good hotel
Nothing the only complaint I would have was that the staff seemed not to like the fact that Booked.net was used to book the rooms as I booked 4 doubles and 1 twin and when we arrived there was only 3 doubles and 2 twins available, one of the twin rooms had not been cleaned and two people had to be moved to another room

I visit my daughter in Gorton and your hotel is favouarably situated for that. All I need is a clean b&b, with ensuite, at a reasonable rate and this is what Diamond provides for me. The breakfast is excellent and is a big factor. I have stayed several times previously. I occasionally stay at Holiday Express when Diamond is fully booked, but Diamond is my first choice, being more economical.
